Swedish A2 Reading Practice
Four Swedish texts written for A2, for learners who can already read simple sentences and want the past tense. Tap any word to see what it means in that sentence.
Swedish A2 texts
- Swedish A2 Reading Practice: A Weekend in Stockholm — At A2 you start telling people what you did. This text runs through a whole weekend in the past tense, with travel and city vocabulary.
- Swedish A2 Reading Practice: A Day at Work — Office words plus the past tense: the combination that lets you tell a Swedish colleague how your day went.
- Swedish A2 Reading Practice: At the Doctor — Saying what hurts is one of the first things you really need in another country. This A2 text puts health words into a realistic visit.
- Swedish A2 Reading Practice: Moving to a New Flat — Moving house brings housing vocabulary, the past tense and a certain amount of complaining together. All three are useful at A2.
A2 Swedish reading means short narratives, past tenses, connectors and situational vocabulary. A text that only shortens sentences is not really A2; it is a harder text in disguise, and it teaches you to skim instead of to read.
Each of these texts says underneath why it belongs at A2 and lists the grammar it contains, so you can tell whether you are reading at the right level or should move up or down.
Read one text a day rather than four at once. Recognition comes from meeting the same words again in a new sentence, not from finishing a page.
Want texts that adapt to your own vocabulary?
PlusOneLanguage remembers the words you know and introduces new ones gradually, so every text is just slightly harder than the last one.
